Libya to Reprint National Mus’haf

IQNA – The head of the Quran Committee of the Libyan Islamic Propagation Association announced the reprinting of the country’s national Quran (the Libyan National Mus’haf) for free distribution among the people.

The Libyan National Mus’haf was first published in 1982.

 

Al-Tahami Al-Zaytouni said that the free copies of the first series of the 16th edition of the Libyan National Mus’haf have run out, Libya Press reported.

He added that a set of this edition was allocated for free distribution, all copies of this set have run out and due to high demand, the printing of this Quran will continue.

The Libyan National Mus’haf is according to the narration of Imam Qalun from Imam Nafi’ Al-Madani (Qalun’s narration from Nafi’) and in the style of Imam Abu Omar Al-Dani, a style that has been common in the schools and Maktabs (traditional Quran schools) in Libya.

The Libyan National Mus’haf was first published in 1982 and has been the main reference for generations to memorize the Quran.

Libya is a Muslim-majority country in North Africa that has more than a million Quran memorizers.
